Readers Choice: Top 10 Best Black Love Stories

Despite the many genres that fill bookstore and e-book shelves nationwide, there is one genre that gets black readers talking like none other –love stories. Some argue that there are too many and that they’re overrated. Others argue that there aren’t enough and that they wish black writers would focus more on love.  Last week, we asked our Twitter followers and Facebook fans from both sides of the fence to tell us what their favorite black love story is and why. We got an overwhelming response, a few that we expected and several of which really surprised us.  So today, we’ve decided to count down the top 10 “best black love stories” as chosen by our readers.
